Cabinet of Curiosities

Elaine is delighted to announce that she will have three pieces on show at Ben Pentreath Ltd at a wonderful event entitled 'Cabinet of Curiosities'. Following in the old tradition, the entire emporium will be transformed into a dazzling display featuring corals, birds eggs, shells, fine prints and castings, new work by Bridie Hall and even a real tortoise!

Two of Elaine's pieces (from the late 90's) utilise very early microscope slides from the Quekett Collection - 'Tongue of Ant, Tongue of Butterfly' and another totally unique composite image made from numerous Polaroid 'lifts'. The third piece is a black and white framed print of a skeletal hummingbird ('Mysteries of Generation' Portfolio)
